Speech to welcome two Filipinas
Monday, September 9, 2013

My dear teachers and beloved children,
Today is a nice and special day, that’s why I talk to you in English. We are in the era of digital world. Someone said that in this era, we should know at least three languages. What are these three languages?
Firstly, our mothers tongue: Thai, we are Thai people, so we should know Thai well; secondly, English which is the universal language and thirdly, C language. What is C language? We get used to this language in our daily life. C language is Computer.

If someone wants to get achievements in life, you should know well in English and Computer. I am not worry about computer, because you are network generation. It’s easy for you to learn and to manage it. But our problem is English; it’s a big problem of our nation.
Most of Thai pupils and students learn English more, but they cannot speak English. Because they learn English for passing the exam, not for knowing. We are going to open AEC. If we do not know English, we will become the weak and blind point immediately.

Miss Jael Velasco, 22 years old.
Miss Jenepit Aranas, 21 years old.
Today our school has two English teachers. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce and welcome them to you all with great joy. Both of them are from Philippines. On my right is Miss Jennepit Aranas, you can call her “Jenni”. On my left is Miss Jael Velasco, you can call her “Ja”.
I hope that it’s a great chance for you all, not only students, but also teachers to improve your English. So don’t be afraid and don’t be shy to speak English with them. They will help you to know more in English and finally, can speak it fluently.
God bless you and have a nice day!
Rev. Daniel Khuan Thinwan
St. Joseph Kuchinarai School.
